President Tyler's Puddin' Pies

16 Pastry shells, 2"
1/2 c Butter; softened
3/4 c Sugar
3/4 c Sugar, dark brown; firmly
-packed
2 Eggs
1/2 c Half-and-half
1/2 ts Vanilla extract
Nutmeg, ground
Cream, whipped

Bake pastry shells at 350 degrees for 4 to 5 minutes; set aside.

Combine butter and sugar, creaming until light and fluffy. Add eggs,
half-and-half, and vanilla; beat well. Spoon filling into pastry
shells, and sprinkle lightly with nutmeg.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until set (filling will
settle while cooling).

At serving time, top with whipped cream and sprinkle lighty with
nutmeg.
