12 Drumsticks; skinned
1 cn Frozen Orange juice not reconstituted
1 Jalapeno pepper; seed, slice thin or 1 fresh mild, green chili
3 tb Honey **
2 tb Quick Cooking tapioca
1/4 ts Salt
1 ts Dried onion flakes
(**Substitute sugar-free maple-flavored syrup or honey alternative.)
Place chicken in crockpot. In small bowl combine orange juice, honey, tapioca, chili or jalapeno pepper, salt , onions. Pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low about 5 hours or until tender. Spoon sauce over chicken.
